Our MISSION
Our primary mission is to provide emergency food to local residents in need. We assist families in low-income brackets as well as those on fixed-incomes or those who are unemployed.

Each year, we provide services to hundreds of families, veterans, homeless individuals, and families in the 60481 zip code.
Emergency Shelter, Rent & Utility Assistance
In addition to food, Kuzma Care Cottage receives funds from various grants and agencies. When funds are available, we are able to provide emergency shelter and rent assistance, as well as assistance for electricity, gas and water utility bills.
We maintain working relationships with a wide range of local support organizations such as Catholic Charities, United Way, the Salvation Army, Will County Center for Community Concerns, as well as many local churches.
You can use ABE ( Application for Benefits Eligibility ) to apply on-line for healthcare, SNAP, cash assistance and the Medicare Savings programs with the State of Illinois.
